About UsHi There I'm Sheelah Doherty and the owner of Grateful Pet Services. I chose my business name not only because I knew pets would be grateful for the loving care I could give them, but also because I myself am grateful to work around animals. I have always been an “animal person.” I love horses and dogs and cats – and any creature with fur. I always had my own pets at home, but my career took me into Customer Service in a large company. It was a good job -- I enjoyed helping folks and was good at it. But when the company downsized, I did not seek another corporate job. Instead I took the opportunity to follow my dream. So Grateful Pet Services was born. Now I have the chance to do the work I love, interacting with animals, plus the work I am well trained for, giving quality customer service. I give personalized, customized care to each animal I care for. I get to know their personalities. I know what their owners want for them, and I make sure they get it. For instance, I do not take more than one (or sometimes two) dogs at a time on walks, or to the dog park. If I am spending time with your pet, she or he gets all my attention. My big reward -- the animals love me, and I love them. I am grateful to the pets and their owners, who give me the opportunity to serve them.
